Romans 8:28 in the Amplified Bible came alive to me today and I want to share it with you. “We are assured and know that [[a]God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.”

The beauty of living a life of purpose is that assurance that you are in partnership with God in all the work that you do. Make sure that you are receiving all the benefits of partnering with your omniscient, omnipotent God, who will not lead you off your leadership path. He will always steer you in the right direction.

Chanea Lewis, who was a part of HOPE Jamaica 2009 and a Inspirational Artist, was born in Kingston, Jamaica;  is Passionate, committed and purpose driven song writer and worship leader who is inspired by the Holy Spirit.. Her exposure in serving as worship leader and background vocalist has helped in her development. She has penned several songs and recorded Crying For Our Children, My Lover, My Guide, I will give you thanks.

Chanea is a part of the team that will be providing daily inspiration for REAP Jamaica 2012 attendees.

She shares, “HOPE Jamaica 2009 was a great experience for me, quiet impactful for all who attented the different seminars. For me there was a greater understanding that fulfilling purpose was never about me, but how i can through God touch the lives of others through my giftings and abilities, having a servants heart… Even in serving I saw how much others really just wanted a hug or just someone to listen. It was a tremendous blessing when I saw women just moving out of their comfort zone into a place of understanding that yes they can do anything and even if they failed to never stop trying. The touching moments for me too was the ministry sessions, I saw women just releasing and letting go of the things in their past that was a big hindrance for many of them.”

Born and raised in Kingston Jamaica, Chanea a singer, song writer and worship leader strongly believes that God uses a vessel that’s willing and obedient to His call. I am very passionate about music; it’s a part of everything I do. My soul desire is for God to be pleased with every song flowing from her heart.

I did some studies in music at the Edna Manley College of the Arts; because, I strongly believe that the more my skills are sharpening, the more effective I am to exhibit a spirit of excellence in God’s. I am God’s “Work in Progress”.

Chanea performs at concerts, crusades and youth events in and around Jamaica as well as serving in her local assembly Fellowship Tabernacle as a worship leader.

She remembers singing at an early age of 8 yrs in school choirs, groups and have also done background vocals for a number of known artist such as Wayne Stoddart, Jai Kingston, Dj Gallimore, Winsome Benjamin and Ziggy Soul just to name a few.

Ever since I discovered my talent in singing, I believe God has placed in me a passion that drives me closer and closer to a ministry for God to others.

I have also discovered that I love writing which is another aspect of my talent; this was discovered at the age of 12 after I got saved.

There are moments when I would travel to the mountains just to hear the heart of God, and Him just writing on my heart the songs of the Lord. I want to be more than just a singer; I want to be a worshipper with a servant’s heart.

Your measure of success is not based on people accepting you or rejecting you, your measure of success is that God has called you to do what you do for His glory.

REAP Jamaica 2012

Building a strong foundation begins with an evaluation of motivation for greater purpose and an awareness of the fundamentals to your purpose.

Everyone gets to a place where they seek out their life purpose. This is the innate desire to find greater meaning and significance in order to live a life that counts. My passion is to see everyone live their lives according to its design. Psalm 139:16 states, “your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Do you want to know what were ordained in those days? Do you have a struggle finding out how to explore?

My father was a builder, so during my growing up years I watched him prepare to build homes and was always intrigued by the plans he used. There was a blue print that gave him directions to create each part of these structures. Failing to comply to the blueprint at times, led to major cost and more work to correct. Have you ever tried to make something and not follow the instructions?  What was the result?

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”

Divine Design Secrets

Have you ever asked yourself the question “who am I?” or are you more familiar with being asked “Who are you?” Let me tell you a bit about who I am. I am a Christian Woman Leader’s Mentor…. And you may ask, “What does it mean to you to be a Christian Woman Leader Mentor?” Well let me address the first part of that question “what does it mean to be a Christian woman leader?” For me it means to have an intimate, close, secure, confident relationship with Jesus. I recognize Jesus as the reason for my life and salvation and am centered in Him in all that I do. That means, I wake up each day seeking His guidance and wisdom for my life and trusting Him for favour with Him and all that I do daily. The Bible is my guide, and I use it to lead my life. I go there to find His truths and instructions to live in obedience and anticipate His abundance and joy from my actions. As a leader, I exemplify the qualities that I desire to see those that I mentor emulate. I am not perfect, but I work towards growing more like how Jesus desires for me to be each day, in my relationships, my spiritual disciplines, my values, my strengths and my opportunities.

Now I want to stop here and ask you the same question? What does it mean for you to be a Christian woman leader? What kind of concerns do you have being a Christian women leader?

Divine Design Secrets

One of my greatest Sunday School memories is scripture memorization. Today the meaning of hiding God’s word in my heart means so much more to me now than it did then. I am so happy that they made it fun for us to do. We sang scriptures, we created actions and recited them, we marched to scriptures.. no wonder I can remember them now at moments I need to.

Here is my challenge to you for now, January 10, 2012 – February 10 2012:

• Let us, as a community, memorize Psalm 62! How about that.

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.

So many enemies against one man— all of them trying to kill me. To them I’m just a broken-down wall or a tottering fence.

They plan to topple me from my high position. They delight in telling lies about me. They praise me to my face but curse me in their hearts. Interlude

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.

My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.

O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Interlude

Common people are as worthless as a puff of wind, and the powerful are not what they appear to be. If you weigh them on the scales, together they are lighter than a breath of air.

Don’t make your living by extortion or put your hope in stealing. And if your wealth increases, don’t make it the center of your life.

God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you;

Unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.
